Finally got around to scanning and resizing all my photos that I took with Nikon FM film camera! Let’s continue with my first day in Athens, analog-style.
Temple of Olympian Zeus.
Lunch at Goody’s, a Greek fast-food joint. The food here looks much lighter, and more fresh than any McDonald’s we have here in the states. My sister got this salad (“Mama’s Salad, with whole-wheat rusks, tomatoes, feta, olives, wich a vinaigrette) and I went to a shop next door and bought a spanakopita (a cheese-less version of the traditional spinach pie). Felt it was a little over-baked, but still edible.

That day was so hot, after hiking up the site to the Acropolis and back down, we had to rest a bit in the shade and rehydrate. Thankfully, in Greece, water is easily purchased everywhere and cheap.

It’s so cool that you brought your film camera as well! I only recently started using film (for photography class at school) but my mom found some expired film that I might be able to practice with. 😉 Athens looks like so much fun! And I just love your shoes.
Yeah, when I was packing I couldn’t decide between bringing my digital SLR and my film camera; in the end I ended up bringing a new digital point and shoot and the film camera. I’m so glad I did 🙂 Those shoes I actually bought in Taiwan for like $9 US! Super cheap and really comfortable too.
